To me, the best satire is one that takes a look at some event, and then builds off of that event in a way that is plausible, and then just goes over the top in some way. It could be taking the event and extending it to the extreme or it can be an explanation that starts in truth and then ends in the absurd.
I tend to like irony so if irony is involved, I think the satire is likely to be successful.
To me, that was the goodness of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
If anyone went to that show to get "news", then they are the one's who have the problem. How can you go to...

Anyone who claims Jon Stewart was anyway dishonest in "presenting news," is part of the joke and shows the brilliance of the show. They have been P*WNED!
