She can't
read cursive (which is no longer mandatory in schools, evidently). She can't write cursive and
had someone else write a letter for her to Travon's mother.

She's having trouble understanding what's being said on the stand.

My conclusion: She's functionally illiterate and mildly mentally disabled.

Craziness All Over The Place

In major cities, people are shooting and killing other people because of drug wars and insignificant "slights of manhood."

In the suburbs and rural areas, teenage boys are raping smaller teenage boys. And in this case, a town turns on the family of the victim because they reported the sexual assault! 

A 13-year-old boy who was cornered on an empty school bus, bound with duct tape and sodomized with a pencil by three older students has been bullied so intensely by his community for reporting the crime that his family has had to move.

The incident, which occurred during a Norwood High School wrestling trip in Denver, Colorado in February 2012, was reported to police by the victim's father, then the K-12 principal and school football coach.

Charges were quickly filed against teens Hayden Harris, 14, and Talon Harris, 16, whose father, Robert Harris, was the school's wresting coach and president of the school board, and their friend, Timothy Armintrout, aged 15.

The attackers later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges, according to the Denver district attorney's office.

News spread quickly of the incident in the small ranching town of Norwood, which is located near the Telluride ski resort and has just 500 residents.

But instead of condemning the heinous act, the community rallied around the three star wrestlers claiming the incident was a case of boys being boys.

The mother of one of the perpetrators even made T-shirts supporting the attackers, with the slogan 'Team TTH' - the boys' first initials.

Students, including the son of a Norwood High School teacher, wore them at the Norwood Schools' annual end-of-the-year barbeque in May 2012, until officials made them take them off.

Students also put 'Go to Hell' stickers on the victim's locker.

The victim's father, who was allegedly advised against reporting the assault to police by the school board and administrators, has since resigned as principal. He has taken another job paying half his previous salary in a town 200 miles away.

Just... WOW!!!!!..

Think About This

Conservatives are supporting and cheering a man who beat his wife and who assaulted a police officer. All because the man shot and killed a Black male teenager.

Education: A Reason Why I'm Not A Fan Of Democrat Politicians

The stance of Democrats on education is one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of Democrat politicians. This story in The Washington Post nails it.

After taking the SAT, I was in the hall way and I saw a girl I went to school with in Jr. High. She was smart. She was in tears saying that she got all A's and B's in school but NEVER saw much of the material on the SAT. She brought up the math geometry questions and I told her I had geometry in the 9th grade and my classes built on top of that and I've had algebra since the 9th grade and was currently taking calculus. 

Johnathon Carrington grew up on the sixth floor of a low-income D.C. apartment complex, a building most recently in the news for a drive-by shooting that injured 13.

His parents told him early on that education could be his escape, and Carrington took them at their word. He graduated Friday as the valedictorian of his neighborhood school, Dunbar High, and against all odds is headed to Georgetown University.

But Carrington, 17, is nervous, and so are his parents. What if Dunbar — where truancy is chronic and fewer than one-third of students are proficient in reading — didn’t prepare him for the rigors of college? What if he isn’t ready?

“I don’t think I’m going to fail everything,” Carrington said. “But I think I’m going to be a bit behind.”

It’s a valid concern. Past valedictorians of low-performing District high schools say their own transitions to college were eye-opening and at times ego-shattering, filled with revelations that — despite taking their public schools’ most difficult classes and acing them — they were not equipped to excel at the nation’s top colleges.

When these students arrived on campuses filled with students from high-flying suburban public schools and posh privates, they found a world vastly different from the one they knew in their urban high schools.

For Sache Collier, it meant writing her first research paper. For Darryl Robinson, it meant realizing that professors expected original ideas, not just regurgitated facts. For Angelica Wardell, who grew up going to school almost exclusively with African American students, it meant taking classes with whites and Asians.

Democrat politicans must be held accountable for this mess, especially Black politicians!

Thoughts While Grilling Dinner

I was a part time dad with my daughter. Until the past few years, I didn't realize the impact I had on her, just “dragging her around" on the weekends when I had nothing planned but had errands to run.

When I brought dress clothes for work, who knew that today, she says there's something about men in suits and men wearing ties she just likes. Even if she can't figure out the combination to make it work.

That's what I try to remember with my son.

Government Interference In Transplants

A cute girl needs a transplant, but because of her age, is restricted to obtaining lung only from another child donor. As a result of that, the child may die. But, because it is happening under President Obama's administration and because of the "fear" being generated against Obamacare, conservatives are expressing faux outrage that the administration will not make the girl an exception to the age requirements.

For me the question isn't why the administration isn't making an exception, but why an exception should be made for this young girl, and not others? And why the same conservatives haven't said anything in the past about situations like this that have happened in the past, I'm sure. And why there is no call for an total overhaul of the transplant process.

This sideshow is wrong for a lot of reasons, and in this case, it is extremely cynical and EVIL for conservatives to be using this little girl in the manner that is being done.

I pray that I nor my family ever have to go through this process.

Father God, please place Sarah Murnaghan and her family in your loving care. Please give Sarah and her parents the strength and serenity to go through this period of fear and uncertainty, because we know You and only You are in charge. In Jesus' name, Amen.

NYPD Will Arrest All Black Men Just To Get A DNA Database

Currently, the NYPD is in court over the racial profiling of their stop and frisk searches. With this ruling, I bet the NYPD will start arresting Black teenage boys a men on a humble, just to be able to swab for DNA. The NYPD WILL have a DNA database that Scalia(!) warns about.

The court ruled 5 to 4 that government has a legitimate interest in collecting DNA from arrestees, just as it takes photographs and collects fingerprints. Rejecting the view that the practice constitutes an unlawful search, the majority said it was justified to establish the identity of the person in custody.

“DNA identification represents an important advance in the techniques used by law enforcement to serve legitimate police concerns for as long as there have been arrests,” Justice Anthony M. Kennedy wrote for the majority.

The dissenters were three of the court’s liberals plus conservative Justice Antonin Scalia, who amplified his displeasure by reading a summary of his dissent from the bench.

“The court has cast aside a bedrock rule of our Fourth Amendment law: that the government may not search its citizens for evidence of crime unless there is a reasonable cause to believe that such evidence will be found,” Scalia said from the bench.

In his dissent, Scalia wrote that the majority’s attempts to justify the use of DNA as an identification tool “taxes the credulity of the credulous.” He added, “Make no mistake about it: As an entirely predictable consequence of today’s decision, your DNA can be taken and entered into a national DNA database if you are ever arrested, rightly or wrongly, and for whatever reason.”

And then once NYPD does it, the Baltimore City Police Department will follow suit. It WILL be a national database, state by state.
