Independents

For years Rush Limbaugh has had harsh words for people who are independents. He has said they are liberals who will vote for the Democrats because if you aren't a conservative, you are a liberal. After Obama won the election, he pointed to the independents that voted for Obama as proof. He hasn't been alone. Other conservative pundits have said the same thing.

This election cycle, the same pundits highlighted and praised the fact that the independent vote broke in favor of Republicans. So, when independents voted for Obama, they were stupid and didn't pay attention. When the voted for Republicans, they are smart and see what's happening, according to them.

I'm just highlighting what I saw.
