A police officer comes to your home. He can't force his way into your
home UNLESS he sees a dangerous situation. He has to ASK to enter your
home. If you say no, he can't enter. If you say yes, then he can
enter.
Once in, if he sees suspected illegal drugs lying around, you can be
arrested. If he starts looking in areas of your home, without your
permission, and finds illegal drugs, he may arrest you, but in court,
everything found will not be admitted as evidence.
If you are in your car, and you are stopped, the police officer can't
search your car unless you give him permission or unless he has
"reasonable suspicion" that something illegal is in the car.
"Reasonable suspicion" is a problem, but the court has already given
away that protection.
There is a problem with the Supreme Court giving police more authority
and taking away our rights.
