WASHINGTON, Iowa (AP) -- Fred Thompson acknowledged Saturday he's not especially fond of running for president, but he thinks he'd be a good choice for the White House.
Asked at a town hall meeting in Burlington whether he had the desire to be president, Thompson said it wasn't his idea to seek the office, and he wasn't enamored with campaigning.
"I am not consumed by personal ambition. I will not be devastated if I don't do it," he said. "I'm not particularly interested in running for president."
- Hillary Clinton is saying experience matters. Well, excuse me, but the experience she has is sitting by while her husband gets "serviced" in a hallway off of the Oval Orifice. And if she were smart, she wouldn't bring up experience since Joe Biden has a hell of a lot more.

- DRM is taking a hit with iTunes and Amazon both offering DRM free MP3 for purchase and download. The Internet has fostered the idea that "things" should be free. This started with "freeware" and "shareware" and continued with Open Source downloads. With all of the people in colleges responsible for a lot of the traffic for file sharing services, you have to wonder why record company executives would think that DRM would not be fought and produce a backlash.
- My wife and I are on the same page about the major things in our lives. My daughter is going through growing pains but is 85% on the right track. My son is growing and well into the "terrible twos" that I understand goes into the "tantrum threes". I have a job that I like that pays well and is interesting. I have a home that is comfortable and I am able to provide food for the family. I AM BLESSED.
