Part of success comes from being around successful people, being around positive people, being around people who believe in your ability to achieve.
Given that bit of information, why should any Black teenager read public Black conservatives when most of what they write is negative about Blacks? Why should any Black teenager read public Black liberals when most of what they write is negative about Blacks?
Let me paraphrase something I heard from a teenager recently: "If I believe all the things that are written about blacks, then I would have to believe that I am doomed to fail, so there would be no need for me to try."
If people wonder why I keep bringing up that Blacks need to see, and acknowledge, the positives that are going on, that's why.
This ain't the first time I've heard something like this.
If you think back to when you saw a Black teenager wearing a shirt that said, "Just because I'm Black, It doesn't mean I'm a criminal," this is EXACTLY what that teenager was saying.
