No political party "owns" God, even though the Republican party has
insisted otherwise. However, after Wednesday's Democrat delegate vote
to re-insert language into the party platform about Jerusalem and "God
given right," I think it is fair to say the Democrat party has decided
not to at least acknowledge God. If someone were to go further and say
the Democrat delegates want the Democrat party to be god-less, I would
be hard pressed to say they are wrong.
The recent moves of President Obama on moral issues and the Democrat
party, to me, indicates they are going to lose independent voters.
