I've heard bits and pieces of Herman Cain vs. Lawrence O'Donnell from
the interview on MSNBC on "The Last Word."

(I'll link the video later).
I have some small issues with what Cain said concerning high school
students not being a part of Civil Rights demonstrations, because I
know some were, indeed, a part of the demonstrations. However, I like
how Cain fired back at O'Donnell, ESPECIALLY because
many Blacks know that not all Blacks supported the Civil Rights
demonstrations, for one reason or another.
But, here, I'm going to flip the script a little bit. Are you ready?
Many conservatives ask why conservative and/or Republicans go on MSNBC
shows when they are so strong in the left camp. Cain went on MSNBC for
the interview. And, frankly, I think he should because I don't like
politicians who only go into safe venues. Here's the flip. Why is Cain
on MSNBC and taking O'Donnell's fire, but won't go on TVOne to be
interviewed by Roland Martin?
My guess for the reason Cain blew off TVOne is because they don't provide anywhere near the exposure of an MSNBC. It's a matter of numbers. And Cain is all about promoting himself. In no way is his campaign for President sincere. Of course, it doesn’t help matters he considers that TV network’s demographic, “brainwashed”.
I'm curious how much of his 15 minutes remains. His performance on The Last Word was as predictably disingenuous as it was lame. O'Donnell exposed Cain as a phony for instead of simply answering 'yes' or 'no' to whether he had any regrets for not participating in the Civil Rights movement, he first said he was too young (a falsehood), then attempted to spin the question as racist before swelling up with indignation and switching the topic.
The most shocking aspect of Cain's neo-coon act is the fact he's a media professional who should know better than think his every word and deed won't be scrutinized seven ways from Sunday as a candidate for President.
