Who knew Rick Perry was a liberal! Here is what he said in the Republican debate Thursday night:
"If you say that we should not educate children who come into our state for no other reason than that they've been brought their through no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart,"
This is concerning giving illegal aliens in-state college tuition rates when they apply for college. No, I don't agree with it. It may not be their fault, but it is the fault of their parents. Here's an appropriate analogy.
If I work as an accountant, and I'm skimming the books of my clients, and I'm using the money for my and my family's benefit, I can't keep what I brought, once I get caught. If my children have cars, the cars are forfeited if I brought them. The house is forfeited if it was purchased with the proceeds of the crime. Any expensive gifts I gave my wife, is forfeited. Neither my wife nor my children, can benefit from their crime.
