The mayor of Baltimore has decided the city of Baltimore government needs to be reduced in size because the number of people living in the city continues to fall. She has decided to hire a consulting firm to
look at areas of the government that can be cut. This will cost the city of Baltimore, about $500,000. On the surface, what is wrong with that?
How about a basic audit of the government having been done, FIRST? How about spending almost $500,000 on a consultant when the city is running functional deficits? And how about the fact that the city of Baltimore REFUSES to pay the settlement required by courts when the city lost lead paint lawsuits!?!?!?!?!?!
The citizens of Baltimore, that 25% who voted, approve of this kind of mess.
