MD Is Number One In Education

According to Education Week, Maryland is number one in the country in
providing grade school education. This has been true for the past
three years.

Guess what?

Forty-eight percent of incoming freshmen students in Maryland colleges
and universities, needed remedial education in reading and/or math. To
be clear, that's 48% of Maryland(!) incoming students, meaning
students from Maryland who graduated high school.
